About the Center
About the Clinical and Translational Research Center
The Clinical and Translational Research Center (CTREC) aims to support researchers conducting clinical research and trials in order to promptly deliver the latest treatments to patients. The Center for Quality Assurance in Research and Development (CQARD) started to work on 2014 was reorganized and founded as CTREC at Kyoto Prefectural University of Medicine Hospital in April 2019. The support by CTREC is available for researchers within Kyoto Prefectural University of Medicine.
Greeting from the Center Director
Prompt delivery of the latest treatment to patients is one of the most important responsibilities in the medical field. In order to achieve the goal, it is necessary to verify the safety and efficacy of these treatments for people by conducting clinical research and trials. The Center’s mission statement is “Promotion of research by providing seamless support for research and development”, and we support researchers who conduct these clinical research and trials. This support is available for researchers and research institutes not only within the Kyoto Prefectural University of Medicine, but also for those outside of the university. The Center contributes widely to society through its support of clinical research and trials that comply with the regulatory requirements of the Clinical Trials Act, the Regenerative Medicine Act, and the Act on Securing Quality, Efficacy and Safety of Products Including Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices.

- CQARD reorganized into two organizations: The Clinical and Translational Research Center , University Hospital, Kyoto Prefectural University of Medicine (CTREC) and The Center for Quality Assurance in Research , Kyoto Prefectural University of Medicine (CQAR).
